Student Complaints Procedures at CIC
Students can make a complaint in person or in writing. If a complaint is made in writing then the response to that complaint must also be in written form. Students can make a complaint to one or more of the following:
Student Support
CIC student support systems are based on best practice as reflected in the New Zealand Ministry of Education Code of Practice for the recruitment, welfare and support of International students. These systems are regularly reviewed, based on feedback from students themselves.
Accommodation
All students are strongly advised to stay in homestay accommodation and for students under the age of 18 years it is compulsory to do so. CIC can organise homestay accommodation for you. Our host families are carefully chosen for their desire to host overseas students and the quality of their rooms. Staying with a “kiwi” family enables you to experience the New Zealand way of life and practice speaking English. Full laundry facilities and three meals a day are provided. You have your own room, study desk and table lamp.
